Wild Goddess didn't begin as a candle brand.

It began as a feeling.

The kind that arrives mid-walk, when a particular quality of light falls through the trees and something in you goes very still. The kind that whispers that the world is stranger and more alive than most of us remember.

I've been chasing that feeling for as long as I can remember.

Through old stories and folklore. Through the turn of the seasons. Through the particular magic of a flame lit in a quiet room, when the evening shifts and something softens.

Eventually, that feeling needed somewhere to live.

So I built it one.

The World That Grew

Mossvale began as an idea and became something I couldn't quite contain.

An enchanted world rooted in English folklore, ancient woodland, windswept moors, a slightly chaotic village inn, and more peculiar and wonderful characters than I'd planned for. A place where fairies keep diaries, crows report gossip with enormous confidence and questionable accuracy, and the paths through the Storywood move about when no one is looking.

It started as stories. It grew into a world. And now it's a place you can actually step into, a monthly membership community where the folklore, the characters, the seasonal wisdom and the stories are all waiting for you, exactly as you left them.

Because I didn't just want to tell people that magic exists.

I wanted to take them somewhere they could feel it for themselves.

How the Candles Came to Be

The candles didn't start as a business idea.

They started as a desire to make the magic tangible.

Story had always lived in words, in voice, in imagination. But I wanted something you could hold in your hands. Something that glowed. Something that changed the feeling of a room the moment it was lit.

Scent felt like the answer, because fragrance does something nothing else quite does. It carries memory. It shifts atmosphere. It turns an ordinary Tuesday evening into something that feels, just for a moment, like it belongs somewhere else entirely.

And so the Wild Goddess candles became something more than candles.

They became artefacts from Mossvale.

Each one is a piece of the world made physical, inspired by the places, the seasons, and the stories of the Vale. The woodland after rain. The warmth of the Crooked Lantern on a winter evening. The particular stillness of Lavender Hollow when everything goes quiet.

Scan the QR code inside your candle or melt box and the flame opens into folklore! A story, written & recorded by me, that lives inside the scent. The candle and the tale are part of the same thing. One deepens the other.

They're not products. They're doorways.

And Then the Letters Started

Because some magic needs to arrive through your actual door.

Letters from Mossvale is a monthly letter, real, sealed, and posted to you from somewhere in the world of the Vale. A story. A whisper. A little something special tucked inside.

A piece of Mossvale in an otherwise very ordinary pile of post.

Made With Intention. Meaningful by Design.

Wild Goddess is a small, deeply personal business — and everything in it is made with care.

While I am the creator and storyteller behind the world, my partner — the quiet Wild God behind the scenes — pours the candles and handles the making process. Together we bring the vision into physical form, blending creativity with craftsmanship, imagination with practicality. Every piece is hand-poured and prepared with intention. Nothing here is rushed. Nothing is accidental.

Wild Goddess is where scent, story and world-building meet. It's the thing I was always moving toward, even when I didn't have a name for it yet.

A reminder that magic doesn't have to be dramatic to matter. Sometimes it's a candle burning low, a letter arriving through the door, an evening spent inside a world that makes you feel more like yourself.

Sometimes it's just noticing that the old oak at the end of the path looks like it might have something important to say.

I'm Kayleigh. I'm from the Black Country, I love a laugh, and I built an entire enchanted world because I needed somewhere like it to exist.

I suspect you might need it too.

Welcome to Wild Goddess. Welcome to Mossvale. ✨
